We are destroying the planet and few are doing anything about it.

The figures do not lie: more than 450 million tons of plastic waste have been recorded worldwide in recent years, but we are only recycling a paltry 9%.

The situation is not very different in Chile, where more than one million tons of plastic are used for packaging each year, 43% of which is used for packaging, with a recycling rate of only 8.5% as of 2022.

Why do we, at Relier, talk about containers and packaging? Because this is where we are focusing our efforts for our first solution proposal for the market.

As a company, we focus on manufacturing biomaterials from industrial waste, using a sustainable, responsible, and circular business model, which seeks to eliminate plastic from the equation permanently.

Why no plastic?

The world now produces twice as much plastic waste as it did two decades ago, with most of it ending up in landfills, being incinerated, or leaking into the environment, contributing to 3.4% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

At Relier, we believe that it is urgent and necessary to end the production of petroleum-derived materials, as this only exacerbates many problems such as global warming, the water crisis, reduced water availability, and, as a result, the agricultural sector is directly impacted.

What motivates us is the need to rethink our consumption habits and ensure that what we extract from the earth returns to it.
